Looking into a bright white kitchen that has two stools pulled up to a white bar height counter in the foreground and a wall with a sink and stainless steel appliances in the back. There are also two windows in the room with white shades.

The kitchen peninsula provides ample preparation space, storage, and an eating area, as well as a conceptual separation from the living space.

Looking into a bright white kitchen that has two stools pulled up to a white bar height counter in the middle and a wall with a sink and stainless steel appliances on the left. There are also two windows in the room with white shades.

Placing the sink with it's counter under the existing window maximizes the natural light. The stove, refrigerator, and tall pantry are located along the back wall to keep the volume of the space modern and simple.

A view of the space with the bed in the left corner and the kitchen in the back. A tall cabinet is to the right of the bed. The kitchen has an island with two stools and stainless steel appliances.

The vaulted cathedral ceiling over the living space and the kitchen adds visual height, architectural interest, and definition while providing dramatic brightness and directing the view away from the bedroom area.

A white room with a Murphy bed in the down position flanked by two tall cupboards. Two windows are on the left side of the room and there's a guitar in a corner.

The bed area has complete wardrobes and direct access to the bathroom. The short wall between the living area and bedroom provides space for a future bedroom separating curtain to be hidden when in the open position.

A white tiled bathroom showing a wall with a hanging toilet and sink. There's lighting and a mirror over the sink and a window on the far wall.

The bathroom has a wall hung toilet and a wall hung sink to create a clean, modern look while allowing the modest size bathroom to feel spacious and be easy to clean.  Additionally there is a stacking washer/dryer in the bathroom.

The project was to convert an existing garage into an accessory dwelling unit. The challenge was that it's volume could not be increased. The vaulted cathedral ceiling over the living space and the kitchen adds visual height, architectural interest, and definition while providing dramatic brightness and directing the view away from the bedroom area. The bedroom area has plenty of storage and light as well as room for a queen bed.

The kitchen is bright and airy kitchen and has storage, plenty of light and a generous amount of countertops. Placing the sink with it's counter under the existing window maximizes the natural light. The stove, refrigerator, and tall pantry are located along the back wall to keep the volume of the space modern and simple. The peninsula provides ample preparation space, storage, an eating area, and a conceptual separation from the living space.
